| Cultivation Advice | Sow from February to April. Sow seed on to the surface of a damp, free-draining, quality seed compost, covering very lightly with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag and maintain a temperature of 20-25C (68-77F) until germination, which usually occurs from 7-21 days. Transplant seedlings once they are large enough to handle. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out once all risk of frost has passed. Space 30cm (12in) apart. |
